5 on-page SEO techniques
When we are talking about On-Page SEO practices, we refer to the technical interventions that are implemented within a website, in order for it to reach the first results of the search engines! From our experience, we know that when a user does google search, he will very rarely open the second page of the entries, while usually his choices range between the first five results.
Add the keyword to the meta title
A good SEO-optimized title can really make a difference. In order for a search engine to perceive and evaluate positively the title tag of your page, you should place the targeted keyword as far left as possible. If you can start your title with this, even better!
Optimize your URL
Among the most important SEO factors is the format of the URLs. Avoid using ugly and lengthy URLs that scare and ultimately discourage the user. It is better to choose small and smart URLs, written in Latin characters. Additionally, keep in mind that the rise of voice search has brought about major changes in the form of an SEO-friendly URL.
So do not hesitate to add adjectives or phrases that you have previously struggled to cut. You will need to work on your titles and URLs so do not afraid to spend some extra time when drafting because it is not about procrastinating. And remember that the best URLs are about 60 character long.
Optimize the meta description of your page
The meta description of each of your pages should include the keyword and be about 145 characters. The keyword alone is not enough! Be sure to use a prompt in your text to persuade online users to click on your page against others.
Use your H1 title
Make sure that every page of your website has a unique H1 title, which includes the targeted keyword. This is crucial when building a website. Your H1 should be unique and in bold so that it will be outstanding at the top of your pages. In order for you to remember that, this should be the first thing to do when you open a new page.
Add the keyword to H2 subtitles
After ensuring that your H1 is at the right position, use H2s as subheadings. Place the target keyword you have set in at least one subtitle, make it bold and use the H2 option. This way, you will make your content even more SEO-friendly!
